It is understood that one particular blog was the cause of the offence that resulted in the ban. However, by banning the entire WordPress domain, Turkish authorities have continued the habit of meting out blanket decisions as was the case with YouTube recently.

This is yet another example of Turkish justice system’s profound ignorance of the technicalities and practicalities of the Internet.

Further, this action of the Turkish court violates numerous articles of the Turkish civic code. As this is a direct violation of the private persons’ right to free information, Turkish constitution too has been violated.
